Job Description

As a Nextjs Frontend Lead Engineer, you’ll spearhead the creation of responsive, high-performance web applications, ensuring seamless user experiences and technical excellence. Collaborate, innovate, and lead a talented team while delivering impactful solutions that redefine the digital landscape.

What Makes You Stand Out

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in Next.js and modern frontend technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Tailwind, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with headless eCommerce platforms, such as commerce tools, BigCommerce, Shopify Plus, or Commerce Layer.
• Expertise in headless CMS solutions, including Builder.io, Contentful, Storyblok, Contentstack, or Sanity.
• Strong API integration skills, with expertise in RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Deep understanding of responsive design, design systems, and performance optimization, including cross-browser compatibility, caching, CDNs, and SEO best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of modern rendering techniques, such as Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), Server-Side Rendering (SSR), and Static-Site Generation (SSG).
• Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows for efficient development and deployment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in eCommerce implementation and digital transformation in retail, wholesale, or manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting and deployment platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Vercel.
• Understanding of user analytics tools for tracking and optimizing user experience.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, ensuring efficient issue resolution.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fostering teamwork and cross-functional coordination.

Tasks That Drive Impact

Frontend Development:

• Lead the development of responsive, high-performance web applications using Next.js.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into pixel-perfect, interactive user interfaces.
• Ensure consistency and compatibility across devices and browsers.
• Optimize frontend performance for fast load times and smooth user interactions.

Ecommerce Platform Integration:

• Integrate commercetools to build seamless shopping experiences.
• Develop and maintain templates for product listings, cart, checkout, and order management pages.
• Ensure data synchronization between the frontend and ecommerce platform using RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

Headless CMS Integration:

• Implement and configure Builder.io to deliver dynamic content.
• Build reusable content components and scalable content models for marketing campaigns, landing pages, and product information.
• Optimize content delivery for performance and SEO best practices.

Team Leadership:

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Review and maintain high standards for code quality, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with backend developers and external vendors to align on technical solutions and integration points.
• Work with distributed cross-functional Agile teams, both onshore and offshore.

API Management:

• Design and manage API integrations between frontend, CMS, and ecommerce platforms.
• Ensure secure and efficient data exchanges by implementing proper authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Testing and Documentation:

• Conduct thorough testing of all systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during development and post-launch.
• Document technical solutions, including API specifications, integration workflows, and component structures.
