Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting Manager located in Metro Manila. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for financial statements, analytical skills, journal entries (Accounting), finance, and fixed assets.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
2. Several years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles.
5. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
6. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reports.
· Provide financial data and analysis to senior management for decision-making.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
· Monitor actual financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
· Assist in long-term financial planning and forecasting.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
· Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
· Monitor and manage customer credit and collections.
4. Financial Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
· Prepare for and facilitate financial audits.
· Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
5. Taxation and Compliance:
· Prepare and file all necessary tax returns, including sales tax and income tax.
· Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
· Work with external tax consultants when necessary.
6. Team Management:
· Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff.
· Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the team.
· Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
7. Cash Management:
· Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations.
· Manage cash balances, including banking relationships and investments.
8. Financial Analysis:
· Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies.
· Assist in pricing strategies and product profitability analysis.
9. Inventory Management:
· Oversee inventory accounting, including costing methods and valuation.
· Implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage and optimize stock levels.
10. Vendor and Supplier Relations:
· Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
· Evaluate vendor performance and compliance.
11. Technology and Systems:
· Utilize accounting software systems effectively
